I think his plan is to come back from the... additional 4 weeks of vacation on top of his previous 2 with a throne speech that's so shocking that no other party can support it, including the NDP.
That way it's a quick election before the Peter MacKay is able to make an impression on voters, and before the WE probe and China probe are able to restart.
It's his only real play, pivot left of the NDP while all the voters who get CERB are seriously hurting and desperate all the shit he's going to promise in his rejected throne speech, then start over with a new parliament.
Maybe throw a serious party star at Pollievre while he does it, like he did to Lisa Raitt.
