I'm actually fine with this. More than fine actually. This program has my full and complete support.
So long as they only do it in Toronto and Vancouver. Just in those two cities.
Only Toronto and Vancouver really have the capacity, and the experience to host such an ambitious pilot program as "free heroin for junkies." They have all the social services, mental health facilities, and parks for camping that could ensure that the population of heroin addicts stays safe. No other cities could reduce harm to the same degree as Toronto and Vancouver, it would be immoral to do this programs anywhere else. We need give these people as much help as possible.
I certainly hope this cures the fentanyl epidemic. The junkies barely got touched by the Rona, yet tons of them died during the lockdown anyway (like someone gave them all a bunch of money and they went right out and od'd or something.)
Something has to be done about this. Namely, giving away free heroin in Vancouver and Toronto so that they'll all migrate there and those cities will be able to give them a chance at a better life.
It's the only way forward.
