There's a real trend in teacher's thoughts online where they seem to forget that they're just there to teach the kids, and think that their job is to raise them instead.
Maybe it's both parents being at work, maybe it's the media and all their "cool teacher" movies, or maybe it's just that the single ones who act like their classes are their family are the only ones posting on social media.
Either way, this needs to stop. Teachers are supposed to be teaching kids important skills with which to go about life, they aren't supposed to be indoctrinating them politically or freaking them out about social justice.
Math, English, French, History, Geography, Science. That's it.
I'd guess that if you asked any teacher in the country what they'd do if they discovered that there was a racist child in their class, being raised by racist parents to be a racist, far too many of them would believe they had not just the right, but the duty to intervene up to and including the point where their intervention broke up the family.
That is not their right. That is not their child, and parent's have the right to raise their children as they see fit.
Meanwhile, kids are growing up with no understanding of history, math, proper grammar, or the sciences.
This really does have to change. Teachers should not wasting class time indoctrinating kids with political propaganda. They have a big enough task ahead of them as it is and many of them are failing at it.
