Most of Canada voted for Lewis, except Ontario and Quebec.

Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes and NWT, the areas of the country that Lewis didn't win in the second round, have 68.6% of the seats between them.
If you can't perform east of Manitoba, how can you expect to win against Justin Trudeau? The East is more socially liberal than the West. So it shouldn't surprise you that the second-least socially conservative candidate won.
Erin O'Toole is basically a milquetoast compromise between the Red Tory and social conservative wings of the party. Erin O'Toole is a Red Tory Bay Street lawyer but he is the front-runner preference of 73% of the Leslyn Lewis/Derek Sloan wing of the party and so that was more than enough to boost him above the more liberal Peter Mackay.
I preferred Leslyn Lewis to Erin O'Toole. However as a small-l libertarian atheist in the 905, I can totally understand why Ontario preferred MacKay to Lewis in the second round. The 3 month abortion cut-off thing is going to turn social liberals in the 416 and 905 off. I personally feel that less people should be breeding, not more. I understand that religious Christians are going to be mortified over that opinion. But at least I'm being honest. Abortion is eugenic. It's mostly the poor who have abortions. And the poor don't have enough abortions. Why should you selfishly birth children into a life of poverty? I'm not saying the government should make it illegal for the poor to breed. But the poor should seriously re-consider having kids. I feel sorry for the Tyrones who are born into single mother poverty. They are dealt a shitty hand in life. The difference is the Liberals and NDP tell them it's because society is racist. When my point of view is that if your daddy is a deadbeat who walked out on you and your mommy is a crackhead or a ho, chances are your outcomes are not gonna be good in life.
Who says I think we need replacement migration? I don't think that allowing the population to shrink is necessarily a bad thing. It's happening to Japan right now. In "theory", CPP should pay for itself. You get what you put in. The fact that the government is printing money like crazy to pay for other shit to devalue your past CPP contributions into the pot is the reason why people are panicking about CPP.
As for Old Age Security, if that gets reduced when I'm 65 if Canada's population is allowed to shrink, it is what it is. I'll be there in 30 years. By the time I'm 65, my Chad-lite good looks will have long faded. My interest in sex will probably be not what it used to be. Even at 35, my sex drive isn't what it used to be. My body will start breaking down at 65. I'll be past my prime. My quality of life won't be the greatest by then. I'm more concerned about the fact that this government is sacrificing the young of today for the older guard (boomers/Silent Gen/etc.) and immuno-compromised with these lockdowns. If this lockdown has taught me anything, it's that boomers hold far more political influence than millennials and zoomers.
Macroeconomics is not the same as microeconomics. National debt is really just inflation. It's not like an actual debt that has to be paid or else the country gets repo'd or some shit. Inflation is a threat because it can lead to devaluation of the currency. Which means imports become more expensive. And then quality of life for the population decreases as a result. This is why Marxist-Leninist Cuba has a lot of poverty. They produce only $231.96 USD in exports per capita in a year. That is very low productivity. And so their Peso isn't worth wiping your ass with. They rely on a lot of charity from other countries just to maintain the standard of living they do have. Canada produces $15,477.22 USD in exports per capita. Our citizens produce 67x the export value per capita that Cuba does. Canada's economy is far more efficient than Cuba's.
And if you are worried about inflation, the last thing you want is more people, more consumption. Canada doesn't have any problems with production. We have a glut of labour supply. Tons of Canadians who are chronically unemployed are put down as "not in labour force" in Statscan. Our society doesn't need to breed or import more Uber drivers. We have plenty of those.
If my parents were Tyrone the banger and Shaniqua the crackhead ho who works for Tyrone, sheeeiitt I'd want the doctor to choke me out with the umbilical cord. A lot of people are born into a life of misery.
I did not say that. I am a small-l libertarian. People can choose to reproduce or not. However people who don't want to have a child should have the legal safe means to terminate their pregnancy. And people who have no business having kids should seriously consider abortion or at least not raw squirreling everything in sight or letting any deadbeat go all up in you raw. People are gonna go rawdog. It's inevitable. They're not always gonna do the responsible thing and wrap their tool. So I feel that it's important to have that last resort option (abortion).
I don't give a fuck about God shit. I am here because wokeness has become a religion and I find it easier to have discussions with conservatives than woke liberals who won't even tolerate any dissension. At least conservatives will have a discussion. I am more of an old-guard liberal so to speak. "Classic liberal" I guess though it does sound cringe I guess when people say "I'm a classic liberal".
