The Chinese labourers had some serious issues at the time, serious issues that were a peril to our nation and while there was tons of them who wanted to flee what was going on in China in the early 1900s, those who were here brought serious social problems with them.
I'd say that history would have proven them to be wrong but since we've had record Chinese immigration in recent years there's been an opioid epidemic and a pandemic.
