Yep, this is late stage LPC government.
Salt the earth so the Conservatives look like the bad guys, and win in a landslide 4-8 years from now.
I'll disagree, most people have no idea how government spending, the economy, deficits, debt, finances work. If they do understand, they are probably conservative. Most leftists have no idea.
