The left relies on these young inexperienced people to side with them. I know because I was one of them at that age. They fall for the compassionate and caring that socialism could provide.

Then I exited that age range and started to realize it's BS. You'd have to be a sociopath to not be a bit left when you're younger, but you'd have to be an idiot to not side centre/right when you get older.
