Keep in mind with the Biden leading in the polls. If that was true, they wouldn't be pulling him out of the basement and giving highly regulated media events/speeches/etc. Even when those events devolve into "I'm Joe Biden, Joe Biden's Husband" type of events.

They don't want to risk allowing Trump to get a second wind capitalizing on the BLM riots. Biden's polls actually slipped a bit after the Jacob Blake riots. Just because Biden is polling 5+% in a number of battle ground states doesn't mean that he should stop campaigning.

There's still 50 days to the election right? If you are up 10 points at half time, do you coast the rest of the game? No. Especially when COVID cases are going down and they aren't going to be able to milk that shit forever, Biden needs to campaign.
