Remember that time a few years ago where the liberals technically lost a supply motion but the speaker ignored it? It happened because some liberal MP’s where late to the house for the vote. With this digital vote proposal, they don’t have to show up, so they can’t make a fuckup like that again. But more worryingly, if MP’s don’t show up to vote in person, who’s to say that it’s actually the MP operating their phone to make the vote? It could be their junior staffer, or even worse, all the phones are held in a click farm in the PMO’s office and the PM does it all himself?
