I can remember an episode of Oprah my mother watched when I was young in which a paedophile was interviewed because he refused to be let out of prison because he knew he wasn't reformed (surprise, surprise). Throughout the episode, Oprah and the experts referred frequently to a vampiric effect in which the victim of molestation becomes a predator themselves.
No luck finding the episode just now, but I did find this.
