I'd agree with that.
The problem with people who are involved with political parties at the top level is that they love to smell their own farts to the point where their heads get stuck up their asses.
They don't want any wildcards involved in their long-term plans.
The ideal president plan for both the Democrats and the Republicans would have been 8 years of Bush, 8 years of Clinton, 8 years of Bush, 8 years of Clinton, 8 years of Bush.
George, Bill, George, Hillary, Jeb.
I'd note that both families can trace their lineage back to the Mayflower.
The old families don't like to give up power any more in the States than they do in Canada.
