Bernier is a massive cuck who thinks people who want reduced immigration deserve to be insulted, and that comparing them to Trump is the best insult you can level against them.
But then one day he realized he could trick the dummies on the right-wing fringes of the CPC to into abandoning the party and taking their sliver of the vote share with them, and this might have been just enough to cost the CPC the next election and deliver him revenge for losing the leadership race. And a bunch of people fell for it.
but Bernier's party runs on a reduced immigration plan.
Please don't tell me you're naive enough to believe he fundamentally changed his core beliefs about immigration right after he lost the leadership race and needed some convenient way to shave votes off of the CPC in order to make sure they lose the next election.
I don't think it's fair to characterize PPC voters as the right wing fringes of the CPC, many were patriots who were just fed up with the CPC and saw a party that alleged it was against globalists. Because there was finally an anti-establishment party, people looked the other way on Bernier's history.
So does Bernier. Remember when he called Kellie Leitch a "karaoke version of Trump" because she wanted to reduce immigration?

He may have said that, but Bernier's party runs on a reduced immigration plan.
He certainly does not seem to think that way anymore based off the party platform, and it's a better stance than any of the other parties.
People didn't fall for it. They looked at the other options and said "fuck it"

Please don't tell me you're daft enough to believe people can't or won't change their stance on something as important as immigration policy.
What matters is the platform he's running on now and he talks about it constantly and with a plan.
That's ok though, you keep voting for the same Liberal Lite party..... They're totally not the same platform as the Liberals......

No, there was never any shot at lowering immigration by voting PPC, because there was no chance the PPC would ever win.
No they didn't. Why lie?
