So committing a crime is no longer the reason we imprison people, apparently. OK. I suggest we hold a lottery in which the total number of prisoners in Canada stays the same but we redistribute the places in order to perfectly match the diversity that is Canada. First we should be sure that all races are properly represented so many aboriginal and black prisoners will "win" the lottery and be set free while some white Canadians will be put in prison despite never having committed a crime. Fair is fair, after all. Next we should look at things like sexual orientation and be sure that the right number of gays, trans, and so on are represented in prison.
Finally, because everything in Canada is filtered through a feminist lens, we will be sure that half of all prisoners in Canada are women.
