I'm with you, the amount of money that we pour into the civil service is insane and dealing with them is ridiculous.
The last time I was at an office I watched as every single one of the workers went on break while a large number of people were waiting. When they started slowly returning to a now jam-packed office they didn't snap to attention, they just kept going at their customary glacial pace.
That wouldn't be tolerated anywhere in private business, and they make a far better salary, benefits, retirement and they have better job security than workers doing equivalent jobs in the private sector.
The CERB transition to EI being torturous due to Services Canada workers was all but guaranteed.
We need a public service overhaul. It's ridiculous.
