Boil water advisories are basically bullshit because of government regulation excess. A boil water advisory does not mean your water is unsafe. All it means is that your water system is "semi-public" and not quite up to the par of downtown Toronto fluoridated water and you are in a remote enough place that the government can't test it on a daily basis.
The Indians already have safe water! All of them!
If you look up the list of boil water advisories, 99% of them are white-man places. Every fishing-lodge in BC has a boil-water advisory. High-end $2,000 dollar-a-night-type places. All the old abandoned one-grain-elevator communities in Saskatchewan. Every Mennonite colony. Hudderite colony. Campgrounds everywhere. Everywhere where intelligent people have drilled wells, tapped glacier-fed streams, captured rainwater, etc etc to get safe water.
I draw all of my water off a lake that is full of algea, giardia, cryptospiridium-type-microbrial nastiness of all kinds. I have a submersible pump in the lake. I have a 2-stage water filter that cost about $200 bucks. Twice a year I put in about $40 bucks of new filters. It is more than sufficient. If I really cared for about $200 bucks more I could have a third & fourth stage including UV etc etc. With modern technology it is so fucking easy and cheap to have safe water it is ridiculous.
