At this point, believe nothing that comes out of Trump's PR machine and the media.
This whole Trump/covid thing is going to be the most managed event from a PR perspective you can imagine. Right now Trump's team is running simulations and focus groups to game out the polling impact of every type of announcement - good or bad (if they hadn't already done all that in advance that is).
There's already a couple of red flags, like how his mandatory 2 week quarantine from the date he tested positive just happens to be up on the day of the next debate.
Pretty much anything that happens inside of an election campaign (especially one this contentious) should be observed with a healthy dose of skepticism.
Do I think Trump is faking having covid? Probably not, given the number of ordinary civilians who would have to be in the know (doctors, nurses, lab techs, orderlies, janitors). But Anything that comes out of that hospital from now going forward should be taken with a huge grain of salt, because that's info that's being carefully managed, curated and possibly engineered, and every link in that info's chain of custody has a potential reason to lie.
