Never talk to cops for anything. Their primary objective is to close cases and make sure people are indicted and successfully prosecuted and will withhold evidence, lie, plant evidence and fabricate things, including putting words in your mouth, in order to achieve that. If you are obligated to speak to police, you only do it with your attorney present. If you are not obligated to speak then you stfu.
