This actually isn't about C-10. It's about numerous users PMing me over the last few months about the fact that the 1488'er edgelords have taken this place over and turned it into 4chan, and pleading with me to do something about them.
As a community, I want a concrete definition of what constitutes reasonable grounds for a ban.
The problem with this is, it gives the 1488'ers a path to skirting the rules by staying just inside the lines.
Case in point: I've been banning overt racists on sight since we opened this place, and yet its still completely overrun with racists (see comments in this thread and this thread). That's explained by the fact that I've been applying a rigid rule definition and banning only clear violators. But that does nothing purge the vast number of "below the radar" 1488ers that have taken over this site. Apparently only a broader approach will be able to accomplish that, which is why I posted this yesterday: To draw them out of their holes.
Otherwise this community is doomed
This community is already dead. It's populated almost exclusively by 1488'er chuds. And it will not be revived by permitting them to keep colonizing this place. They have to be dislodged by force. And that can't be accomplished by just drawing a hard line in the sand and saying "As long as you don't say any of the following things, you can stay". These people prey on that kind of permissiveness. That's how we got here in the first place.
