This is our generations WW2. People have lived such spoiled meaningless lives and now all of a sudden there is an opportunity to larp as a hero with a mask becasue society/government allows now the virtue that they are "doing it to protect others".

I believe it's a loophole on how laws work about spying. The CIA can't legally spy on its own citizens. Know who can? Other countries.
