Some of the "experiments" they did in the name of "science" were disgusting.
The outcome: the Nueremburg Code, which requires prior, informed consent for any medical experiment or trial.
On the basis that masks are a medical "device" (they influence health) the government is mandating a medical procedure. (Could be considered a medical trial as efficacy is not known, the Ontario webpage says/said masks "may help reduce the spread") If they are not violating the letter of the Nuremberg Code they are violating its spirit.
Welfare - Biggest problem is housing costs and lack of housing. Why are housing costs so high? Corruption, immigration, and red tape.
Health care: Biggest problem is lack of hospital beds. Basically the system has been mismanaged for years, and the population increases have not helped. 2nd problem is lack of GPs - partly due to rules and regulations, partly pay, partly other roles are more desirable such as working in a hospital.
Education: our education system was fine 15 years ago when I was in it. Not sure what they think the problem is.
There's lots of corruption in the U.S. government but some parts are still decent. For example, DHS, U.S. Marshals, lower ranks of FBI and military. I'm on the fence about the DOJ - I think upper ranks are so corrupt that Barr is hamstrung.
If Trump fails though and this fraud election result stands, the Deep State will get stronger, maybe even impossible to ever take down. Maybe even the whole U.S. as we know it will be taken over by china-style communism (and Canada too).
They were shocked by the election results though and it forced them to commit more fraud than they had planned. The Dems were so out of touch with reality they expected to win the Senate and more House members.
So they are scared. But to clean up the corruption is going to probably take 4 years or longer, if Trump wins. The swamp will fight to the bitter end.
If the elites were scared of climate change, they would stop shipping junk all around the world in giant tankers. They would stop shipping Florida tomatoes here at the same time we send tomatoes there. We would see a lot more "eat local, buy local" support.
Instead, we get another tax.
I actually have relevant degrees to dig into the climate modelling, but it's pretty complicated and I'm doing other things. In general, I don't trust climate modelling at all, and am not worried about climate change.
The funny thing is, scientists are not authority figures the left has made them out to be, with both covid and climate change. Science is based in questioning everything.
It's this religion of science, and it's based on incredibly flimsy footing: at least 50% of published medical science is wrong.
It's really sad to see people give up freedoms so easily. I can only imagine there are elderly churchgoers who were furious when the churches were closed. And they were right. They should have the choice to risk their lives to go to church if they felt like it. We all should.
My only hope is that there is a silent majority who, once a line is crossed, will stand up and fight. Who will say "this is ridiculous, and wrong, enough is enough."
Some electoral reform I'd like to see:
- stricter lobbying rules - the voice of companies with tons of money has to be balanced against those of your constituents - perhaps to the level where the company has no voice but employees/owners can speak in support if they wish and are citizens
- you have to listen and vote the way your constituents want. That is, if someone is concerned enough to reach out to their representative, it has to be respected. If everyone who reaches out to you has the same concerns, you really have to listen. If there are conflicting opinions, you have to balance them.
Unfortunately our system is largely driven by lobbyists and party platforms. Those two things allow a lot of corruption.
Chicken pox vaccine now. Supposedly because shingles is awful (which it is) and I'm still not sure how the vaccine is supposed to help with that - maybe because shingles happens after re-catching wild chicken pox? I really don't know.
I'm not very trusting of it just because of how it has been circulated.

In his speech, Trump called out the Dems finding votes at 4am before it happened.
One hypothesis: it was his last warning to them that he knew what they had planned. They went ahead anyways. So now his team has the possibility to catch many of them engaged in election interference, which is sedition and treason. I believe he changed it so sedition and treason can be tried in the U.S. military courts. So it could be his plan to start cleaning the swamp.
Yes! Who, out there, has the right to put our elderly into house arrest? With limited visiting rights? Let them choose. Let all of us make informed decisions and choose for ourselves what health decisions are right for us.
If possible, call your MP and MPP. Calls are harder to ignore than emails. But, emails are better than nothing, and you can attach documents to emails.
If we don't say anything, we won't be heard. We will be assumed to not exist.
