What are the odds of a covid transmission in an one business, say, a retail clothing store? Small? Maybe even infinitesimally small? And, even if a transmission happens, what are the odds that the transmission results in a hospital visit? Very low. What about a death? Virtually nil.

So, shutting down any single business has a benefit of virtually nil.

What are the costs of shutting down a business? Massive.

Every single business that you shut down will impact someone, likely many people. Every single business has people that rely on it for their livelihood and, consequently, has an impact on their health, both mental and physical. Business owners and employees rely on the income to, at its most basic, feed and nourish them. Without nourishment you get sick, you get illnesses, you die.

Fuck you Doug Ford, Eileen de Villa, Laurence Loh... people are gonna get sick and die to feed your narcissism.

Why would any reasonable person get tested for Covid? There's no treatment for it.

The only thing that you will get out of a positive test are instructions to self-isolate for 14 days. And, you'll be forced to do so, even if you fully recover in a few days.

So why, then, would anybody voluntarily get tested?

For really, why? When she talks, all I hear is emphasized words and pauses.
