I thought about it in the past. You guys have convinced me to make a short film/trailer now. :)
He wasn't a side character. He got more screen time than Furiosa.
On top of that, the character he wrote for Max was a raging feral who was a complete loner who would have very little invested in working with a bunch of strangers to help their cause. In the Road Warrior, Max's connection to those survivors he helped was very tenuous and unbelievable. Like he wasn't really a part of their story either. He was just a stranger that showed up and helped them for a bit. Same as in Fury Road.
Fair enough. You are right on this. He's a little more realistic in Furry Road character wise. That said it bores me how they portray his aloofness. It felt like in Road Warrior he shows a bit of interest in strangers for his own survival. Maybe I'm wrong. I should re-watch both movies back to back.
More screen time doesn't mean more important to the plot. Jar Jar Binks has more screen time than Boss Nass. Jar Jar doesn't contribute more to the development of the plot with that screen time though.
The production of water doesn't have a victim. Nor does the production of the vegetables. The mother's milk thing however made cattle of human beings, which is exceptionally evil.
Makes sense in theroy... That would be one of the worst things to do to a mother. HOWEVER! Women must be unbelievably fertile for them to become human cattle in the Mad Max Universe. Which again is absurd to me. It would make sense in a futuristic sci-fi film where they have the technology to help out with pregnancy. Doesn't make a lick of sense in a postapocalyptic world where resources are limited.
As for why the heroes drank it on the road, it's because that's what the tanker happened to be filled with, because it was supposed to be a trade run with gastown and the bullet farm.
Again absurd to me. They got enough women to produce enough milk to fill a tanker?!
Just forget the woman thing. It's not one of those "girl power" movies. A woman is in a central character role for practical plot reasons, not for the sake of "wokeness". If you go into it with the attitude that it's a feminism movie, you're obviously going to hate it.
I literally could care less if they have a female lead. It's just how absurd parts of the story are without explanation. I got to re-watch it since I might be forgetting details. But I watched it 3 times once when it was in theatres and 2 times on Netflix and I still don't remember an answer on the Valhalla/spray paint thing. I get the paint is symbolic but come on... As for the Valhalla thing if they have just included they found a book or script or something that made them believe in such a concept would have been nice.
I just want to throw my hot take into this. I still think Furry Road was over rated. I don't understand the high ratings. It felt like a shitty remake of The Road Warrior. Max was a side character to his own movie franchise which doesn't make any sense. Hell the main movie poster his face is covered and he's in the background. If they called it Furry Road and cut out Max and had it set in the "Mad Max Universe" I wouldn't have that much grief. The other thing is the lack of lore explanation. Why do they believe in going to Valhalla? Why spray chrome paint onto your teeth? Why the ever loving fuck are they drinking breast milk over water?! I get the original movies were werid/punk but to me they weren't absurd in the ways Furry Road was. I got to re-watch it sometime and come up with a thorough review. My buddy is super into movies. He went to film school in Toronto and wanted to become a director at one point. He taught me some critical thinking skills with certain filming techniques. Some how he still likes the film lol. I will say it's saving grace is it has awesome music and special effects. Just wish they spent that much effort into the plot/story.

The bigger the Government the more things go wrong. More money wasted. More people dead. Citizens need to be as responsible as they can be for themselves. The scenario I think of is this. You need a shirt. The Government will get you a plain white, unisex, one size fits all shirt. Or you can be responsible for yourself and save your money and buy a nice shirt that actually fits you.
Oh yeah my father is an EMT. He remembers to this day a man he helped early in his career. He went to a mansion to check this patient's heart as he was having chest pains. Cocaine and guns on the table, 2 very big dogs (I don't remember what breed.) artwork and nice/expensive things everywhere. It might be because I live in rural Ontario but almost everyone I know thinks the lockdown measures are literally retarded. They made sense for the first 2 weeks and that's about it. Anyone who thinks logically can look with their eyes and see people aren't dropping dead in the streets like flies. You'll get the odd scared person but they are either so brain washed they can't see reality (believing the Government never makes mistakes and is all good is becoming the new cult) or they are naive and haven't questioned anything. Start talking to people you meet. You'd be surprised how easy it is to change someone's mind if you simply point out the flawed logic of the lockdown measures. Ask them "Why is it we wear a mask inside a restaurant then we sit down and take it off? Does Covid only exist at the front door?"
"Why did we see all those Til Tok videos of nurses dancing during their shifts? Aren't the hospital's over flowing with cases?"

I'd say in the tens of thousands. There's a lot of tattoos with colour on her and they look really clean. A small black and white tattoo can cost you in the hundreds. It really depends on the size and the artists ability though. A small shitty black and white tattoo is dirt cheap compared to a back tattoo with tons of detail and colour done by a pro.
