I have been saying for a while now that insurance fraud is to blame for the lack of healthcare funding in Brampton. Brampton is known for the highest auto insurance rates because of scammers and fraud, so why would they stop there. If people keep turning a blind eye to this it is only going to spread and get worse, this recent incident is only the tip of the iceberg.
My theory is that hospitals in Brampton are underfunded because of higher than average health insurance claims, some of which might be fraudulent, and over use by a largely unaccounted for population.
On average across Ontario $2000 per citizen is allocated towards hospital infrastructure while 36% of the health budget goes towards OHIP. The Brampton hospital infrastructure budget however only receive $1000 per citizen. One potential explanation for this could be OHIP claims being greater than the provincial average of 36% directly taking away from the infrastructure budget.

I have heard that their property tax should realistically be 25% higher than what it is.

I have no issue with that many officers arriving to control an unruly crowd and preventing an all out riot from starting. The mob needs to be shown who holds the power when needed. Unfortunately these defund police people used that to spin lies and push their agenda. One was on the CBC being interviewed yesterday and said police have too many resources if they can send 30 cops to arrest one unarmed person. When you know the truth of the incident you can see that these people have no issue with telling bold faced lies.
The media has been reporting that seven officers were injured and the four were taken to hospital. The defund police protest organizers are flat out lying when they claim "multiple news outlets have reported that seven officers were admitted to hospital". I cannot find a single news report that claims this, let alone "multiple".
