University student unions have always been a stage for corruption. Think of LPC corruption but on steroids, except instead of "billions" or "millions" of dollars, it is usually just "thousands" or "hundreds of thousands." Embezzling of funds through corporations owned by executives, contracts to buddies, third-world country style elections, and using the society's funds as their own personal credit card has always been common in these organizations. Oh, and they like to increase their executive salaries as well.
Some student unions have been taken over by radical leftists. Last week at Simon Fraser University, a man on campus could not prove to security that he was a student so he was rightfully asked to leave. The man refused, so police were called. The man was placed under arrest, but not before police gave him many chances to leave on his own, the man subsequently assaulted the police officer and was pepper sprayed and tasered. The woke student society, that looks to be run by invaders from shithole countries, put out a statement saying this incident was - you guessed it - RACIST.

Are our laws, which were written over a hundred years ago, when there probably was not a single coloured person here, all meant to target this criminal now and nobody else?!? Wow, our politicians really planned ahead!
The BIG problem here, if you attend one of these indoctrination institutions, expect it to be MANDATORY that you pay a membership fee to the student society (except Ontario because Doug Ford). This fee is bundled in with your tuition so there is no way around it - if you don't pay, you don't graduate. Is this what a free country looks like? Mandatory dues to some activists who want to #abolishthepolice and the media are their cheerleaders. Notice the media did not show any of the footage of the criminal putting the police officer in a chokehold.
In a free society, you get to choose where to spend your money - and how much. You can pass up banking at your local woke bank with rainbows and pictures of outcasts who make up 0.00001% of the population, or abandon that company that changed to a rainbow logo. That's what I do - tool/hardware stores and automotive parts stores don't play this identity politics bullshit. Now, in order to attend a school, you must also consent to directly funding LPC style corruption and left wing activism masked as a society meant to represent your views and assist you. So you don't attend school then? Well there goes a LOT of jobs - even the police favour hiring those who went to school.
Over on r/simonfraser it would seem most are not pleased with the work of the student union - that they are all paying for. University students have always overwhelmingly been pinkos but this shit would not have flown even 20 years ago and now the media embraces the work of these brutes in student government with wide open arms. I don't like the direction we are heading. "Adults" can now act like children animals in public and the media swoops in to defend them without fear.
