Our populist movement in Canada needs a lot of work. I say this as a founding member of the PPC. I believe in the message. I just do not think the strategy is on its way to mass viability any time soon.

The problem as I see it is that facts are unfortunately very unpersuasive. While our facts tend not to care about their feelings. The reverse is also true. Their feelings do not care about our facts. We have gotten so bad that any information people disagree with is easily without any serious thought. Dismissed as disinformation (and it isn't just the people we seek to convince, MSM disinformation is something we all believe in).

But I am not just a black pilled doomer. I think I figured out a winning strategy. And it requires a significant change of tact. By everyone in the movement. We need to target people's emotions rather than focusing on lists of facts. We need to gather and share stories that break the elites narrative. Stories that hit people right in the feels. Stories of people harmed by the lockdown. Stories of people unable to find work in any industry let alone the ones they are skilled in. Stories of how our corrupt media has destroyed peoples lives. How well intentioned progressive elites have destroyed our communities, wrought poverty among those they hoped to benefit and division amongst those they yell at for unity.

When it comes to our elected representatives. I posit that what we need is not professional lawyers or economists. What we need are story tellers and influencers. People capable of telling explaining the emotional feeling side of the populist movement. People capable of standing up to our corrupt politicians and media, speaking the truth and absolutely demolishing the elitist narrative with more convincing narrative.
