I have a feeling we're going to see a lot more of this. Prices were garbage this season and in PEI anyway we were only allowed to catch 400lbs a day to try and stop the market from being flooded and crashing the price even more. So when the natives, treaty or no are still allowed to fish in the off season not only potentially causing a lot of damage to the lobsters population, but it also fuck with the stability of the price. I'd say this is a direct result of the economy going tits up and now it's starting to boil over as everyone is trying to snatch up crumbs.
