"While the majority of cases no longer come from travel and haven’t since the early days of this pandemic, it makes little sense to tell Canadians not to leave their homes while having dozens upon dozens of international flights arriving daily. In the last two weeks alone 107 flights from various destinations have arrived at Canada’s airport with Covid infected passengers."
How come we know so much about transmission on planes and yet nothing it seems about community transmission?
And how do the few cases from travelers compare to the 2000 cases per day in Quebec? Shall we require a negative test to go to the pharmacy, the grocery store, Costco, etc? Ford and Legault and others are pointing their fingers at travel, airports and Trudeau to divert attention from their own failed policies.
I don't mind if I need a negative test to fly back to Canada. But let's not pretend that travelers are currently the main agents of transmission while ignoring the problems in the cities. And how about requiring tests for families before locking them all together in the house? (Of course no one reports on where the current cases are coming from - but it must be travelers!) The level of stupid is astounding.
Another example today. Some guy writes that anyone who travels now is selfish and a narcissist. I asked him to explain. The answer I got was “why do you even need to ask”? To make matters worse, another busybody responds saying folks like me who politely ask people to explain their comments or answer questions are called sea lions or something retarded like that. Again avoiding any discussion on substance or responding to questions. What a joke! What they say is right and we aren’t allowed to even ask them to explain.
Lol. So true. And a complete unwillingness to engage on facts and reason. Their position is correct. Anyone who disagrees is an idiot. So ridiculous. I was reading comments yesterday on an article about the effectiveness of lockdown restrictions in the National Post. Someone wrote that Sweden was doing terribly and that that proved lack of total shutdowns and mask mandates was terrible policy. The writer then compared Sweden to its immediate neighbors. Someone responded with comparisons of Sweden to other European countries such as Belgium, France and Italy (which comparisons are favorable to Sweden). The original commenter simply wrote in response that it was ‘unethical’ to compare Sweden to any country other than Denmark and Norway. Unethical? Talk about trying to take a moral high road. Unreal!
Funny. If Trump is seen as suggesting what the DoJ should do in terms of investigating crimes the left is outraged over his interference in the administration of justice. (Even though as president he is in charge of the executive branch and therefore the DoJ). But when Trump doesn’t interfere in the administration of justice by not blocking executions, he’s a killer. Hmmm.
So does the vaccine work or not? 2 weeks ago we were all saved. Now we are banning flights. New strain blah blah blah. No one knows what they are doing. It’s so bad one can only think this is completely planned to look so serious! Kind of like an old three stooges movie, yet we have multiple stooges heading multiple governments. And so many people act like the government is there to take care of us. What a comedy!
We are constantly admonished to listen to the experts. Yet for some reason the left treats Gates as if he is an expert on everything. Wtf? Because he is rich? He has no expertise in epidemiology or disease prevention as far as I know. And he has a troubled history with Epstein. Why won’t anyone call out this BS?
The problem is no politician at this point can backtrack and admit their policies were wrong. This means that even if the lockdowns are proven useless they will continue. And they are supported by big tech, cucks, other politicians and the WHO. The only way out for these weak politicians (I purposely don’t use the word leaders) is a vaccine. That lets them claim victory. They ruined so many lives with the lockdowns. They deserve to be in prison.
I'd say at least 50% of Canadians want bans and want to lock up anyone that challenges the mainstream narrative. Its scary.
