Last I checked even a positive from a lengthy PCR test is only 40% accurate at distinguishing Covid in asymptomatic patients. It's bad lazy medicine to blindly test healthy people. That's a slippery slope towards daily mandatory full spectrum body scans.

Elon Musk bettering mankind, yet I absolutely love how people make demigods of famous geniuses. Not every they say is hitting a target no one else can see. Really might want to check out the later work of Isaac Newton and Nikola Telsa.

Oh noes. Those Electric Cars defy the 2nd law of thermodynamics! Short all oil now!!!

Not allowing a client to bet that solid state batteries will kill off big oil seems like prudent fiduciary advice, but brokers and and lawyers are like lids. There's even one for crack pots

In theory, you could keep a short position open indefinitely to take advantage of a falling market like doomed Big Oil. In practice, you can be required to "buy to cover" this position if the lender demands the shares or contracts back, but again, this is uncommon.

The world changes. You don't want to see the synthesis between petroleum and battery technology. Ok. Might want to start shorting BP and Exon stock if you're so certain. Talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity

Ffs. No wonder you're being such a prick. Solid state batteries are not even on the bloody road and you're already jacking off like they're in mass production. Wake me up when you've retaken a basic economics class

Ok Mr. Ostrich. Bury your head in the sand. Shouldn't surprise me that a tree fucker is incapable of typing lithium shortage into google. There's plenty of communist publications out there with publication dates within the last year that have figured out lithium and cobalt don't grow on trees. We're not running out of petroleum or lithium reserves. It's a matter of production numbnuts. We don't need petroleum or nuclear. If we just sing kumbayah and pray for wind, then mother Ghia will bless our offering of good karma!!!

Have fun fucking trees while waiting on that magic lithium supply for billions of cars to drive your 500km. I have plenty of faith that your ilk will work toward banning petroleum and nuclear. The most brain dead movement on the planet has to be the Captain Planet Weeaboos and their war on science. 2004, hurumph, it's current year. And CNN International and my commie professor say Electric perfect. Oil bad.

Start with the 15%. It's not hard to figure out if you actually use that tiny brain. Petroleum products are in everything. That phone your holding for example! Retake every science class and actually pass this time. Don't forget the economics class so you can figure out how to provide enough lithium for you magic global fleet of 500km cars. 100km in the cold with a 3 hour recharge time is common for anyone not driving a money bags Telsa, and those toys are still double the cost of a good hybrid. Not to mention the cost of recharing the bloody things is equivalent to the gas costs of 4 cylinder passenger car. Have you ever even recharged an electric car? Half the rapid charging stations are broken and they don't get fixed for months. Sometimes you have to wait upwards of an hour in line for an opportunity to change because the next closest charging station is over 20 miles away. Only a fool with deep pockets would choose a pure electric for work

Have you even driven an electric vehicle as a professional? They are fun until you need to recharge when clients want to throw gobs of money at you for immediate service. Communist China forces professional drivers to use electric cars as a means of keeping them poor and dependant on government handouts. Pure electric car are toys meant to showcase wealth and virtue. If this was ever actually about emissions, the push would be for plug in hybrid vehicles with nuclear power plants.

Not to mention that 15% is basically a component to just about everything around you. Cutting vehicular demand is just going to shift usage else. China hates liquid freedom. God forbid anyone live outside the confines of what can be easily surveiled and controlled

Don't be an idiot. We're all suffering. Think of the children. Think of grandma. Her lungs matter. Don't be a monster. Ivy League professors agree, putting up 3 chain link fences is the most effective way to keep mosquitoes out of one's yard. You'd have to be some sort of dumb macho meathead to question the infallible logic of those oh so perfect experts.
