Then yesterday he rides in again and literally states that the entire PPC is white nationalists, QAnon and antivaxxers. Holy shit Ham. Now you’re not just against racism and the PPC, but anyone who questions the narrative is Q and anyone who doesn’t want the Covid-related injection is anti-vaxxed? Ham, do you contend that every single person reading/voting your posts is a racist? If so, what is there here worth saving? If not, where is the support of your accusations and actions? You are getting close to zero support, which means your read on the situation (and your reaction to it) is way, way, way off. Seems you don’t understand the reality of hosting an open forum and dealing with trolls; you need to deal with trolls quietly and behind the scenes. You don’t constantly berate your entire user base based on the actions of trolls, you just take out the trash - that’s why the slang for moderators is “janitor”! The janitor isn’t supposed to walk into a classroom and lecture students on not smearing shit on the walls because there’s one retard with a fecal fetish. I was working outside on a busy street where I could overhear pedestrians and cyclists the other day. Seemed like nearly every group was discussing and often arguing about Covid. Large change from previously when almost all the talk I heard was virtue signalling and positive feedback loops.
Now would be a great time to get out there with some paper, stencils, stickers, etc. What about crowd funding for a mass printing? 500 all weather bumper stickers per Canadian city could start a lot of discussions.
Finally today I was able to get two out of three clients to proceed without masks, “socially distanced only” or whatever.
The first lady said “I forgot mine but I’m not sick...” to which I replied “NO problem, few are...”
The second lady had hers with her but didn’t have it on... after I didn’t put one on for the first few minutes she put hers in her pocket and remarked “I’m so sick of these, I have to wear them all day at work...” to which I replied “Yeah... my manager isn’t here!”
It’s been so miserable out West, I have only seen half a dozen other people in stores freefacing, and in the last 3 months only one other client. Then today 2/3 clients, it was like a glimmer of hope. Of course, we are so fucked that even just the masks are a drop on the bucket, but at least... Well... fuck.
