Agreed. I mean, Max has no chance in the 2023 election unless some miracle happens. However, the CPC needs to be held accountable for their leftward shift. If they lose enough elections I hope they'll change their tune. And if they don't, well Max just might gain enough support to become a real threat.
I've not worked with the man, but he seems to have had a reasonably good reputation based on the fact that he got 49% of the conservative leadership vote. Not only that but Stephen Harper relied on him heavily. And like I said, why would he even try for the leadership if he was afraid of some work?
Bernier stated that he left the party because the Sheer campaign refused to incorporate any of his platform into theirs, and he believed the party was too far gone for reform. Seems reasonable to me.
If you have something more specific to share with me about his character I would love to hear it though. You probably know more than me on the subject. Have you worked with him or know people that have?
Don't we want Indian immigrants? They come from a democracy and should understand the threat of China/Communism based on proximity and the current conflict. Any thoughts on this? I'm no expert?
