The United State's conservatism was actually pretty bad right up until Trump. The issue is nationalism vs. globalism. The Bush's were on the globalist train. Most republicans prior to Trump draining the Swamp were bought and paid for globalists. They just slightly differed on some issues to seem conservative but in reality, they were still pushing the country in one direction which was globalism.
Canada is like pre-Trump USA. We're going in one direction and our conservatives are bought and paid for globalists. Americans are much more politically active and they have much stronger fraternities, community groups and think-tanks/lobbyist groups that still push American interests. Might is right has always been the system. What we had though was a country of patriots who all willingly gave up their individual right to violence to the state. Every guy has his style. I can't pick up whores to save my life. For whatever the reason, I just don't come off attractive to a whore. You're painting a rosy picture but no, the people playing sports and graduating into good jobs etc... are still being subverted by cultural marxism. You're right that they don't talk politics online but when it comes time to vote, when they're promoting some social justice cause at work to get a promotion, when they're a part of the hiring teams, when they're coming up with some new business idea or marketing idea etc... they all promote marxism. To give you an anecdotal example. I was out at the bar yesterday with a friend. Both of us are single. He notices a couple girls and suggests we go talk to them. I told him the girls were too leftist for me so I wasn't interested. Yes, I can spot that and they are everywhere now. Anyway we go up to them and start conversation. Just to prove my point to my friend I asked the girl if she thought marxism or capitalism was better and her response was that she thought marxism was better because capitalism doesn't care for the disabled and poor people. This is the belief that is being pushed in our education systems. it is becoming more prevalent. Just because not everyone is out posting online doesn't mean their core values don't lean marxist and that is impacting society at every level.
