Ontario is really interesting. There actually was an oil industry there, but during the turn of the century. Lots of old wells that where simply left to nature. Unfortunately the Ministry of Natural Resources is in charge there. So that’s not so good if you’re looking for.... conservative employment. Going west might be a better bet, or looking at other organizations that other posters have mentioned.

Oh you’re back. Did you earn enough good boy points to get on the computer again?

Depending on what you do and where you live, oilfield site reclamation might be an interesting one to get into. These companies specialize in finding and cleaning up contamination and returning well sites to their natural state.

Young men at the peak of their physique and with lots of money get distracted chasing pussy! Who would have thought.

In 2020 the obvious is now hate speech.

I was also sharing Canadian dollars with Canadian students at Canadian universities. Things have gotten retarded expensive in the past few years. When I started university in 2012 tuition was $3500 per semester for 6 classes. When I finished in 2017 it was $6500. It’s only getting worse.

Only 20K in debt? That’s pretty good for some of those kids. I’ve heard of 50 to 60 K for valuable degrees such as philosophy or indigenous literature.

You prompted me to go check the rates. Royal Bank cut their “High interest e-savings” account from 1% to 0.05%. Absolutely retarded.

My stock portfolio was in oil and pipelines, so that’s going well. The government and its voter base are actively trying to destroy the industry that provides fuel and heat to the rest of the nation, and tax dollars to prop up the other failures. In the USA the zealots are going after pipelines that have been safely operating for decades, and I’m sure that they’re going to come after ours too.

I’ve been saving for a down payment, and it never feels like enough. Even with super low rates, you still need 2 incomes to pay for housing and the essentials. And the essentials keep creeping up in price.

Will they use it though? I imagine if it’s anything like the legal weed, then the government supply is the weak shitty stuff, while the street dealers are still selling the potent variety.

Prepare for the loonie to be worth 50 cents usd, interest rates to sky rocket, inflation to get out of hand, and general mayhem and destruction.

Is it because white doctors work in abortion clinics while black doctors work in community hospitals?

In New York City more then 50% of black pregnancies end in abortion.

I’ve been thinking more about this. He prorogues parliament, then comes back with a throne speech and a budget.

By definition the budget is a confidence vote. The bloc have said they want him out, the conservatives want him out. Will the NDP keep supporting him or will it be a fall election?

That would be amazing if she did. Is there any prescient for a Governor General to be removed from their post for not going along with the prime ministers schemes?

It’s not like parliament has been operating for the past 6 months anyhow. Their little zoom sessions are hardly good governance.

The media screamed bloody murder for far less when it was Premier Redford or one of Harpers cabinet ministers. But no, the GG is a drain on tax payers and all we get is one article.

Me thinks Trudeau wanted to spend even more money and Morneau has at least half a brain and wanted to slow things down a bit after spending an unprecedented sum, which we still down know what the total is.

Unemployment among male immigrants is around 15 %.

Number one problem right here. Young men can’t sit around and be bored. They find something to do, legal or not.

I’ve only ever heard of Ed the sock here and on meta. Is this some kind of Ontario thing that us prairie folk never got like bagged milk?

We measure oil production in barrels or even thousands of barrels, but when there’s a spill, it’s litres to make it a big scary number.
