I think it's even more insidious than that. They're basically saying "We won't force you to get a vaccine, but we'll allow everyone else to force you to." I don't want the shot, but I don't want to lose my job either.
Officially? To be the Queen's representative. Because we're still part of the Commonwealth we need a bitch like this on payroll.
We could totally declare independence, but can you imagine what they'd try to put on our money to replace the Queen?
Except Trudeau, who gets to fuck up multiple times and still gets voted in.
Doug Ford certainly lost my vote. He ran on respect for taxpayers, but is now the biggest spender in Ontario history, is happy with restricting our freedoms, and he derides the people who put him in office as "yahoos." With that said, I have no idea what parties are better choices. Certainly not Liberal, NDP or Green. Last election the only other choices were Communist (the same as the other left-wing parties) or Libertarian (and I must admit I don't know enough about that party to make an informed choice.)
She also said that NACI is not recommending the COVID-19 vaccine be mandatory, nor is it the government’s plan to force anyone to be immunized.
Top kek.
Section 6 of the Charter guarantees mobility rights for Canadians. It's also one of the few sections of the Charter that can't even be limited by the notwithstanding clause. Yet here we are!
Grammatically it does, when you understand that "command" in that context is a verb. The word "O" is a vocative, meaning the song is basically talking to Canada, and saying "you command true patriot love in all of us." That doesn't mean changing it from "all our sons" isn't pathetic of course, because it is.
Looks like it's trolling both sides.
It's a shame. I used to really like Kelly McParland but I was frowning at his columns more and more. He basically turned heel.
Chris Selley is an even bigger one.
Good luck getting to space without fossil fuels, too.
And yet they're still pushing flu shots, including the "high dose" flu shots for seniors.
