No need to be rooted on an Android device, you just need the android platform tools on your computer and a USB cable to connect the phone. If you have some basic knowledge of a Windows command prompt you can browse to the Android Platform Tools folder and type these 2 commands in

  1. ADB shell
  2. pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.cellbroadcastreceiver

I factory reset my phone and forgot to run these commands so I got woken up by 2 of the alerts so I ran them first thing this morning. I take it there's been more alerts this morning?
