Billions upon billions of dollars spent on cerb and other aid programs, yet not a single dollar goes to expanding hospitals and ICU capacity. Hmm.
You're such a blockhead. I find it really hard to believe you're not trolling 24/7.

According to leading scientists, your natural immune system generates immunity to multiple components of the virus. This promotes your protection against a vast range of viral variants and abrogates further spread to anyone else.

The vaccine has no impact on whether or not the virus spreads. Vaccinated people are just as likely to spread the virus as unvaccinated people.
Try again.
So how does sitting next to an unvaccinated person harm the vaccinated person?
I meant the primary
Buy Euro. Forget CAD and USD. Euro is backed by China and Russia, they want it to be the next reserve currency.
After living in Canada for 25 years, I moved from Waterloo to the Balkans 2 months ago.
The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner.
I'm 33 and I have an online business, so I know and appreciate that not everyone has the same opportunity.
But man, if you do... You will not regret it.
Everything you mentioned in your post is bang-on correct and exactly the reason why I left.
Being in a country that's has an actual culture that the people are proud of - wow. You can feel it in the air. Huge difference. People just trust each other more, and they want to live up to and embody the values of that culture.
As a man in his 30s, I'm also struck by how easy it is to date beautiful women here. There is none of that entitlement you see in the west, girls are much more down to earth and realistic about their prospects. It's much easier to approach them, talk and have a good time with them.
The food tastes better. There's something like 100 pesticides that are banned in Europe, but being used freely in Canada and US. Not sure why that is, but you can tell the difference when you try the food here, it's like night and day. Now to me it seems like all the food in Canada has the same kind of bland aftertaste.
Cost of living is very good here too. For a single guy, if you make $2k/mo or more, you can live very comfortably here.
There's other benefits too, like the fact that no one here really cares about masks, vaccines or covid. It's not a big topic of discussion at all, and people are free to do what they wish.
I'll probably get some hate for this post but I don't care. Canada is no longer the great country it was 15-20+ years ago, and if you disagree you are in serious denial or delusional.
If you want to leave, leave. Seriously. Don't let others make you feel guilty for leaving. There's nothing honorable in staying behind and trying to "improve" things when the government is actively hostile against you, and a sizeable portion of the population wishes to take your rights and freedoms away. It's a fool's errand.
Watch out for the in-person visit as well. Someone in an unmarked car shows up at your door and demands to see ID. In my area it's usually day 8 or so (K/W). All my friends that travelled got visits then.
Yes, you have to download the app but you can delete it as soon as you leave the airport. They make you do daily check-ins, but you can do it from the website as well.
I travel a lot. I was in Thailand when the pandemic first hit (Dec 2019). Flew back to Canada because I foolishly listened to Trudeau say "it's time to come home."
Fast forward to Dec 2020, I had enough of the lockdowns and flew out to Mexico to stay with my friend that also left Canada in 2019, but didn't listen to Trudeau and just stayed in Mexico the entire time (overstayed his visa, but that's another story...)
Didn't need a test to enter Mexico or board the plane. No quarantine. Masks are optional, bars and restaurants fully open. It was quite a sight to see people out and about, having fun on the streets, kids running around. Very happy atmosphere in the air.
I flew back to Canada on Jan 6th, a few days before they started the covid test requirement and mandatory hotel quarantine. On the way back I had a layover in Texas, and the border agents were super cool, chill and fun. Kept cracking jokes about me and my girlfriend, and why I hadn't married her yet. Definitely put us at ease.
Then entering Canada, completely opposite story. No welcome home back to Canada. Everyone we encountered was cold with a sour look on their faces. We kept getting grilled about why did we go to Mexico, don't we know there's a pandemic blah blah. Luckily no ticket and didn't need a test at the time either.
But that whole experience led me to eventually leave the country for good. Seeing the outside world and how other countries are moving on from covid, and actually use common sense when dealing with it, opened my eyes to how backwards Canada is.
The worst part is the majority of the nation seems to support these measures and actively blames the unvaccinated and the travellers for any rise in "cases" and "deaths". How dare you go and get a haircut, bigot?
We all know the economy is fucked. Any future prospects the younger generations have is fucked. Smart people, young professionals are leaving in droves - and for good reason.
And yet, the government doesn't seem to give a shit about that at all. All they care about is covid, covid, covid.
I myself left Canada in March, spent time in the Caribbean, and now heading to Europe. Convinced my parents to sell their house and move with me as well as my sister, her husband and my newborn niece.
Those of you who remain, I wish you luck. I know some of you don't have a choice, and I know I'm incredibly privileged to be able to pick up and leave.
But all I want to say is that if you have a chance, seriously consider it. I come from a war-torn country that was ravaged by socialism. Believe me when I tell you, all the signs are there. It will only keep getting worse from here.
Leaving Canada.
How did you get in? I've been reading tourism is restricted. Do you have a KITAS?
I've travelled to 11 different countries since May of this year. Never needed proof of vax. They all let you in if you take the antigen or PCR test. Not every country is in hard lockdown mode like Canada, Australia and some western European countries. The rest of the world is pretty relaxed.
