GM had to supply us with a fully-warrantied fuel induction system. That STE was a beauty; felt strong; planted safely on the road at speed; a heavy-feeling car but acceleration was poor.

First Saab - a '79 money sponge. In its day - fast and fun...like driving a guided missile.

Second - a '99 not bad but just an Opel. Should have bought the Viggen.

Third - '07 nice, modern-looking performer. A bit cramped.

When I moved to Alberta and worked in the oil patch, I was cautioned ours would be a boom & bust life. Nothing could be more true than that.

Maverick

I've been thinking there is a place for the small truck in the product mix these days but I won't be a buyer.

I've had a Volvo 144s (11 years and the only cross-Canada-driven vehicle of any of them) - Pontiacs; 6000STE and a trouble free-Bonny - and three (3) 93 Saabs, one of which is still a daily driver...another, the first Turbo, a money pit but a a real hoot to or drive/aim as the case may be. There's a CX7 in the family I have yet to test. A Honda Accord and more than a few small Toyotas were sprinkled in the mix over the years.

Everybody should have had a convertible! My mom had a gorgeous Firebird!

My first car was an MGB.

Subaru WRX Sti - Mitsubishi Evo - the Mini when it was English and not German were WRC winners of days gone by.

VW will stand by its product mix and get all that business when the price shock hits the pumps.

This (is).... about amassing vastly greater amounts of money and power

If so, India missed the boat Russia offered her.

From now on, they'll be named after frat houses.
