tldr: the left hates the right, and vice versa.
So wouldn't everyone be happier living along side those who align with their political views?
Not a hard question, and I think it would make peoples' lives easier on both sides of the political spectrum.
This implies the political system itself isnt the problem and that either party isnt just a puppet for lobby groups and oligarchs and banks.
Doesn't mean that the people who support them are though. There's a massive difference between say, rural conservative voters on the prairies, and your ndp voter in Brampton or Hamilton.
I'd certainly prefer one as my neighbour over the other.
I already moved to an extremely conservative part of the prairies. People are nicer, employment rate is higher, and it's very family focused. It sucks our tax dollars in our area will overwhelmingly be pulled away to be spent in places I'll most likely never even visit, except for the odd work trip.
On the bright side, my property taxes are reasonable for once, and those aren't going 50% towards police funding to try and keep the natives in line. Moving out of Winnipeg was a great decision.
Thanks, moved from Canada's second largest rez (Saskatoon) before that lol.
Look up the Mennonite belt in Manitoba. Morden, Carmen, Steinbach, Winkler, Altona, Niverville.
Some are close enough to commute to Winnipeg for work, some aren't.
While I unequivocally support it, the radical left will never let the 'conservative' areas of this stupid country leave. They like treating us like we're just a tertiary resource extraction satellite state to be used for their benefit.
If BC, AB, and SK left this stupid fucking country, the rest of this country would be financially doomed -- and rightfully so. They've done it to themselves.
I'm convinced it will happen one day. 'The west' will one day find the courage to throw off our chains imposed upon us by degenerate fucks in Morontario and K-bec. Myself, I hope it ends in civil war, because I think that's what we all deserve to have happen to us.
No. Split the country along Geographic and cultural lines.
The ties that bind us together aren’t political, they’re deeper and more genuine than any politician or party.
Easy. They'd finally get their utopia (ontario quebec and the maritimes. ewwww) and immediately begin infighting over important issues like pronouns, class divides, and whatnot. Self destruction within a year.
Meanwhile, Popcorn eating in the West as within 4 years of expelling progressive ideology we invent real quantum computing, anti-gravity, warp drives, and cold fusion. We build giant space stations, start moon and asteroid mining, and watch the world burn.
Nah, just "people" in ontario quebec and the maritimes. They deserve it.
