Voting rights shouldn't be granted until adulthood begins. Adulthood as defined by being responsible for taking care of yourself. There used to be a time where the majority of people didn't even finish high school. By 18 you would have had a few years of being independent, working for a living, paying your own bills and paying your own taxes. These days most people don't start working until after finishing a 4 year program at age 22. It's time to talk about raising the voting age not lowering it.
