Toronto really has been taking the title of "Canada's craziest city" seriously this year.
Winnipeg, Calgary, Quebec City, St John's, Halifax, Moncton, St John, Hamilton, Montreal, Edmonton, or Vancouver; none of those cities have had a protest outside any politician's house because everyone realizes that's out of bounds.
Then there's Toronto.
In the past 6 months the good citizens of "Toronto the good" have had a violent protest outside their mayor's condo where people were fighting with police and trying to scale the walls so they could break in and now they've had a peaceful protest outside their Premier's house after he broke up their lockdown-defying "let's just live our fucking lives and have some bbq" demonstration.
That's twice in six months, Toronto.
I just hope that no one has said they're going to knock down the Skydome and turn the land into million-dollar shoebox condos because that city could get really stupid if such a thing were to happen.
Toronto has seemed to be on the verge of snapping for about 10 years now and it seems to be finally happening.
That fucking city, I swear to God.
Eventually it comes to a point where completely snapping is probably preferable to trying to fix what's already been broken. Perhaps the wake up call Toronto, and all of Canada needs is a big ol' snap to happen close to home.
Nah, completely snapping just means that things get even more broken.
We know how the the French revolution went and that's a best case scenario. The worst case is Cambodian which had causative factors that are probably the most similar to the current state of things in Toronto.
Believe me, the basic rule of Canada is that the government is fucking terrible but the alternative is far worse.
We don't need a Khmer Rouge here and we'll get one if we aren't careful.
