They don't need clean drinking water. I pump mine out of a lake with algae so thick that if you go for a swim you come out looking like the Incredible Hulk. I use a $200 Chinese pump. I run it through a $200 filter system. It is perfectly fucking fine. I buy about 5-gallons a month from the $2 refill place just for making juice and stuff.
