Vancouver is driving us insane - the traffic, busyness (3 ski resorts sold out this weekend, parking lots to nature full), petty crime, coldness, unfriendlyness from people and $2k rent for 1 bedroom. We don't seem to fit in here and peoples attitudes reflect that. We don't want this rat race. (...)
Our concerns are mainly focused on the current Alberta government. We don't align with their healthcare, social security or conservation beliefs. The worry is the future of Alberta beyond the next election. It seems majority of this subreddit has the same sentiment.
Australian couple moving from BC to AB is afraid of conservative policies. Like Californians moving to Texas, they'll keep voting for the same trash that created the problems they're running away from.
I continue to find it astounding that there are so many ignorant people in the Information Age.
It literally takes no effort to educate yourself on a topic. The irony of this of course is that highly educated people tend to be the most ignorant.
