If every Canadian province would turn into an American state after the annexation you would be ruled by Democrats for your entire life.
What makes you think that?
Because every US state has two senators.
BC, Quebec, Ontario, NB, PEI, NS, NFLD, Nunavut and NWT would all vote Democrat. That's 18 senators the Democrats could easily pick up. Manitoba and Yukon would be a swing states. Only Alberta and Saskatchewan would lean Republican.
