If only they used the data to judge it. Masks would be shown to be ineffective, like all previous studies. Lockdowns would be shown to be completely ineffective, as all previous records. Quarantines will be shown to be ineffective, as previously shown. Take Alberta, for example, Banff was hardest hit in province and continues to be, yet was the only area to have mask mandates and has had them for 6 months. Clearly did nothing and did not help, yet now entire province gets locked down based off 11 deaths in a year to people 80+ years old with comordbidities in long term care facilities where the average duration is 2.5 years after being placed in it. Logic would dictate they died from old age and contributing factors possibly onset by covid. Logic would dictate that destroying the economy when only those in LTC facilities are at any increased risk and put restrictions on visitations and up sanitation and care in those facilities. Instead, we do none of that and actively try to kill those patients by housing potentially infected covid patients in LTC facilities.
Based on trends, covid is less deadly than measels and mumps and flu and other annual outbreaks worldwide. Based on trends, we dont lockdown and destroy economies for those.
