In my world, travelling to Greece = she does anal
SHould've fired her.
Don't worry, it was to be with her sick grandmother.
As no Canadian is being kept from seeing their ailing grandparents at the moment, I'd say this is a completely acceptable explanation.
I mean, what kind of sick monster would speak out against someone who just wanted to hug their grandmother for the last time?
Mounotricha.
Yeah, unless a picture comes out of her sun tanning on the beach, she's got a damn good reason to be there. Life is too short to watch your family die from a far.
Except you missed the point. People aren't allowed to cross the street to see their dying grandparent in Canada, you literally are barred from entering the building. If you're lucky you can access a first floor window and watch your loved one die. But not Nikki! Nope, she flew to Greece because as much as she supports the Draconian rules here, she's special.
No she doesn't.
Her party is the one who is most in favour of lockdowns and there's a shit ton of ordinary Canadians who haven't been able to see their ailing loved ones this year because of policies that she's touted.
She can fuck right off. Being in the political class doesn't mean that the rules don't apply to her and I'm appalled that she gave herself special dispensation to do something that ordinary Canadians can't according to the rules that her own party has imposed on them.
This bitch is a communist.
Apparently she followed all the testing, physical distancing and isolation requirements.
Was it a bullshit excuse or an essential travel? Who knows from a socialist that also broke rules by campaigning for Sanders.
And when will the Prime Minister answer for going from his residence in Ontario with entourage in tow to travel to his cottage in Quebec for a nice Christmas vacation.
Everyone but the Liberals I guess are accountable.
I am surprised there was a punishment.
Why is this sub so mad at people breaking these idiotic rules? That undermines them. It's a good thing. Miss me with that "it's hypocrisy" bullshit, because if they didn't write the rule, then who cares? By calling for them to get fired you're making it easier for commies to clean house.
My point is that the people who are breaking these rules aren't always the same ones who instituted them. Some being denounced as hypocrites are only guilty by association.
We have seen many cases where they are one and the same, but even then we should be clear that we want them fired for creating or supporting the unconscionable rules, not for breaking them, because by trying to do the right thing for the wrong reasons, it's like saying that these knowing and unknowing agents of CCP infiltration and corruption, who are guilty of attempted murder on Lady Liberty, are not in the wrong for pissing on freedom, where they're wrong is that they travelled to see their mom on her deathbed during cold and flu season.
What does it say about our country when the only things the right and left are united on, are the greatest evils, with all that is good the subject of constant debate?
I'm reminded of a conversation between Norm MacDonald and Jerry Seinfeld.
I hear what you're saying. I'm just saying if my enemy's building a fortress, I'm not going to ask them to fire their guy who keeps pissing in the concrete and fucking up the foundation.
