That’s how slave plantations worked. Take a bunch of people from all over Africa, and then work them to death. Most of them spoke totally different languages, and there were still tribal animosities which made them adverse to working together.

Imagine if you had taken a Scot, an Englishman, a Frenchman, a German, a Pole, a Turk, a Greek, and a Russian. Then you forced them all to work on a plantation, hours upon hours a day.

That’s what they want. No overarching culture, no ability to communicate or understand. Because the other side is what happened with the general American population. You have a British and Dutch base culture, and over time different people would come and adopt that culture along with aspects of their own. But nonetheless, until recently, the policy in the Anglosphere was that those who come need to learn English, and fit in.
