Mere biological sustenance and safety only fulfills the bottom two rungs of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Humans crave love and belgoning, esteem and self-actualization.
It's laughable how Reddit soyboys and Karens will jump through hoops just to avoid this conclusion. "You're not going to die if you never experience love and belonging, therefore they're not needs and you can easily do without them." AFAIK Feminists still dispute Maslow's hierarchy because sex is classified as a basic need.
Listening to Redditards, you'd think our only needs are eating, sleeping and shitting. These people don't understand quality of life. Our need for sex and love is like our need for shelter or wearing clothes. You won't die from lack of shelter or wearing clothes, but you'll live an incredibly shitty life without them. Perhaps I'm belaboring the obvious, but this still needs to be said given the rampant sexual fascism masquerading as sexual "liberation" in contemporary western societies.
