Boomers grew up in the 50s and 60s and most didnt have televisions and the newspaper and radio were the only source of news and basically word of God - they wouldnt be allowed to print it or say it if it wasnt true! The government wouldnt let them lie to us! Imagine growing up in a world where CNN and CBC and so on were the only source of news and what is going on in the world. Do you think anyone knew about the sale of the Bank of Canada by Pierre Trudeau in the 70s? Do you think there was lively debate about the massive debt spending that followed? Do you think there was any push back on the implementation and forced socialism of that time? It's FREE healthcare! Nothing will change except you now have FREE healthcare! Gas will never cost $5 a gallon, tahts crazy conservative nonsense. Alcohol wont be $5.50 a glass at the bar and $40 a case. Thats nonsense talk. You wont pay triple the cost of chicken and dairy compared to Americans. How could that be possible? Do you think they were told this or explained where the magic free money was coming from by the media at the time? That there was informed consent and easily accessible information on the things implemented under governmetn during boomer childhood/early adulthood?

That's the thing - people have the access to this information today and are too lazy to even pursue it. They are ignorant of politics and accept, willingly, the lies fed to them daily and are even willing to blame everyone but the ones responsible in that ignorance. Ok boomer and anti-boomer vs millennial nonsense is the same as shifting occupy wallstreet to race/gender/lgbt identity politics several years back - just another tool to create division and prevent any pushback against their agendas.
