Finally, the CPC manages to deal some damage to the Liberals.
This motion would declare China's actions against the Uyghurs a "genocide". So the CPC have tabled it knowing Trudeau and his cronies won't vote for it (for fear of offending their masters in Beijing).
It doesn't matter one bit if the motion passes or not, it only matters that Trudeau and cabinet vote against it. That's the deliverable the CPC are after.
Now hopefully the CPC can properly capitalize on this and use it to spin a bunch of ads telling voters this is proof that Trudeau is owned by China.
I mean he's turning a blind eye to genocide out of deference to the people committing the genocide. It doesn't get any worse than that. This is all voters should be hearing from the CPC at this point. Enough of this "Meet Erin O'Toole's rolled up sleeves" crap.
Sadly I doubt this will move the needle for anyone. This will be a headline for a day in the news and that's it. The CPC refuses to continue attacking Trudeau for having Chinese troops on our soil, probably because the CPC under Harper did the same thing. CPC huffed about it for 1 day and dropped it.

This is my concern - that the CPC won't press the attack and cement the implications of this motion with voters.
We just have to look at CPC's past behaviour over the last few years. If CPC did something well, it would be a change for once.
This is politics no one cares about. How many people know of this motion? Probably less than 5%.
