It’s really distressing. I live in the Midwest, work in oil related field at a multinational doing technical work. So I have the skill set to work outside of the natural resource industry
My peers are all buying homes to take advantage of the low interest rates. I’m terrified of buying, seeing our economy crumble even more and be left holding the bag

That's one reason I live cheap, light and mobile, I don't get too attached to any single place or job, I can do what I want, move around as needed and every year I go live in Europe for a month. I will never understand the desire to settle in one place or job long term, fuck that, life's best as an adventure, I have no desire to settle for anything.
