We've all watched here with unabashed envy as several states, notably North and South Dakota, and Florida, have come out as based, declared the pandemic to be a hoax, and actually gone farther by making mask mandates illegal and basically using their full legal apparatus to prevent Washington DC's craziness from affecting them.
So far we've yet to see any pockets of basedness in Canada, but as soon as one appears, I'm moving there.
Any ideas which province will be the first to go the way of South Dakota?
Asking as I am in need of hopium.
It's Alberta where pastors get arrested and restaurant were closed. Here in Sask we never went into a full second lockdown. Churches, restaurants, gyms, schools. Everything open besides bingo halls.
Our new case rate is almost twice as high as in Ontario and Scott Moe isn't planning any new restrictions. For the whole of February we had twice the rate as Ontario or Quebec and nothing happened.
I still can go to the gym, I can eat out or send my kids to school. And for the mask, it's winter. People here just pull up their neck gaiter when they enter a store.
